Hepatitis A – It is a recommended vaccine for all the tourists of all ages. You should get it at least two weeks before leaving for Paraguay and for long term immunity, you should get booster 6-12 months later.
Yellow fever – It is also one of the recommended vaccines for all tourists greater than nine months of age. The vaccine is considered only for those who have exposure to mosquitoes or incapability to stay away from mosquito bites.
Typhoid – It is recommended for all travelers, with exception of those who are there for short period and who restrict their food to big hotels, such as cruise passengers and businessmen. It is mostly given in an oral form, consisting of four tablets taken on alternate days.
Rabies – It is recommended for travelers who are spending a lot of time outdoors, and for travelers who are at high risk of animal bites, such as animal handlers.
