Paraguay House of Representatives for an indefinite period postponed the announcement of a state of emergency in north, which was anticipated following a deadly attack by guerrilla EPP group. On Monday, the Senate of Paraguay passed a law by declaring a state of emergency in 60 days in the north provinces of Concepción and San Pedro. This followed an assault last week in a police station in Conception by members of the Paraguayan People's Army (EPP), killing two police officers.
