Arnaldo Andre is an opera Paraguayan actor. His most of the career years was spent in Argentina, where he lived from 1964. He was awarded with a Martin Fierro award in 2010 and currently working at Los unicos.
Arnaldo Andre was born on 12th November, 1943 in San Bernardino in Paraguay. His father died when he was of 11years old and then after he took care of his family. He was influenced by Italian and American Movies and planned to achieve a career in Argentina and further move to various countries. However, as his career developed, he did not concentrate on his initial plan. Arnaldo didn’t become a movie actor either, working in TV telenovelas and productions by Alberto Migre a famous Argentine writer and TV producer in Protagonic couples with Soledad Silveyra. His work in TV allowed some occasional works in theater and cinema and in other South American countries where he worked at telenovelas.
Arnaldo Andre made many protagonic couples with Luisa Kuliok. His character from the film Amo y Senor was noted for himself slapping his wife. The 1st slap was used for promoting telenovela at its early stages. Later on in telenovelas, he kept on slapping his fellow actresses and always slapped them in real; which turned into an accident with Giselle Blondet, who was not at all aware of it.
In a widely publicized trial, Carlos Monzon was sentenced for the death of his wife, at that time Arnaldo Andre decided to retire his slapping act. Nowadays, Arnaldo thinks that he would not perform the same act, because of the public, who concern about the corporal punishment in their home.
Arnaldo Andre worked as the main villain in Valientes telenovela, which is among the successful Argentine telenovelas. This was the first time in his career that he played the character of villain instead of a gentleman. Even though, as a villain he used a little physical violence, working instead like a crime boss. He achieved the 2009 Martin Fierro award, as a best male actor of telenovela for this work.
Arnaldo recently worked in the series of Los unicos, a superhero live action television.
